King George Elementary School is Hiring a Finance Specialist Near King George, VA
Essential Functions
- Processes accounts payable; audits invoices and purchase orders to ensure procurement policy conformance; enters information into computer; runs reports and balances; runs checks and gets appropriate signatures; files invoices and related back-up
- Processes 1099’s and year end filing
- Enters a variety of information into the computer; verifies accuracy and completeness; produces associated financial reports
- Maintains files for invoices, purchase orders and other financial records
- Receives vendor inquiries and resolves them within the framework of the established policies and procedures or forwards to appropriate party for disposition
- Assist Finance Manager as needed
- Serve as back-up for Payroll Specialist
- Performs related tasks as required
Education And ExperienceGeneral knowledge of accounting and financial principles. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with major course work in accounting or public finance and some experience in business or governmental financial accounting preferred but not required.
